John m. palmer


John has served as the President of EMERGE since January of 2011.  As a pastor, John served churches in Athens, OH and Des Moines, IA for over 30 years.  He has authored several books including, Equipping for Ministry, Stories to Keep you Looking Up, and Keeping up with the Jonahs.  In addition, he has served as General Secretary for the General Council of the Assemblies of God and Co-Founded Come Alongside Ministry with his wife, Debbie.  John is a speaker and coach and travels across the United States and around the world equipping pastors to stay healthy in ministry so they can continues to serve others.  He also speaks on missions, marriage, and other self care topics.  John is a proud father of 3 children and 5 grandchildren.  He is married to his best friend, Debbie, since 1975.

Donald A. Lichi, Phd

Donald A. Lichi, PhD. is a licensed psychologist and serves as Vice President of EMERGE Counseling Services.  Dr. Lichi is an adjunct professor with Trinity International University (IL), the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), the Asia Theological Center (Singapore), and All Nations Theological Seminary (Malawi, Africa).  He has been a speaker at numerous conferences and workshops on pastoral health, Christian Education, parenting, marriage, and family issues.  He has published several articles on Christian mental health.  He is the co-author of the book, Broken Windows of the Soul (Moody Press).  He serves on the board of Emmanuel Christian Academy which ministers to "at risk" children in the inner city of Akron, OH.  Dr. Lichi was in private practice for over five years, taught school, and directed a school-based counseling program for six years.  He also taught for six years in the graduate school at the University of Akron.  While in the United States Air Force he served for three years in Italy and three years in Alaska.  Recent ministry has taken him to India, Brazil, Thailand, Ecuador, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Romania, China, Malaysia, Russia, Hungary, Nicaragua, and Singapore.  Best of all, he is married to Marcie and they have three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Todd came to EMERGE with over 20 years experience in a Behavioral Health.  He felt called to serve at EMERGE having worked his entire career in the non-profit sector.  He is a graduate of the University of Akron were he received his BS in Finance and Associates in Accounting.  Todd also holds a Masters of Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary.  While no at EMERGE, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.  He also plays a large part in serving his church.
